We are happy to announce that we are about to release the e-book and MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) of the fascinating project “Poetry-based approaches in basic education for adults” (POETA)!
POETA promotes the self-development and empowerment of people “on the way to speaking and writing”. It offers poetry-based pedagogical approaches as a complement to conventional concepts of literacy and second language acquisition in adult basic education. The KEB Rheinland-Pfalz and its European partners from Austria (das kollektiv), Greece (Kalamata Second Chance School), Cyprus (Synthesis) and Spain (European Language Centre) have developed an innovative concept which will be published in August 2023 as a free eBook and a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course).
Aimed at educators and participants of basic first and second language courses in adult basic education, POETA enables the acquisition of literacy skills and empowerment through the use of poetry.
